Security Systems Engineer
An opportunity has arisen for a Security Systems Engineer to join an established fire and security services provider, supporting customers and engineering teams across a range of electronic security systems.
The role involves planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs and technical support across security systems. This is a field-based role offering a basic salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, plus paid travel, on-call and overtime allowances, with total average earnings of £43,000 - £60,000, plus benefits.
Candidates can be based anywhere in London or within 15 miles north and 20 miles south of St Albans (office location).
You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on electronic security systems.
- Investigating faults and providing technical support to customers and engineers.
- Working across intruder alarms, access control, CCTV and intercom systems.
- Using manufacturer software for system configuration, diagnostics and optimisation.
- Supporting engineers with technical issues and providing guidance where required.
- Completing work and documentation accurately while maintaining good customer service.
- Performing other duties relevant to the role as required.

What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Security Systems Engineer or in a similar security engineering role.
- Strong experience within the electronic security industry.
- Good technical knowledge of security systems and associated technologies.
- A logical and methodical approach to fault finding and problem solving.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A high level of accuracy when completing work and documentation.

- Security Engineer or in a similar role.
