About the job you’re considering
Engineers form part of the Security Engineering Team (SET), an expanding team who deliver specific IT Security Services to a client in the Aerospace industry. The team has a footprint in two main sites in Derby, to affectively provide services to the client. The team members are not fixed to one location, which lends itself to interesting and diverse work within differing environments. The role is focused in three main areas for Security Engineering and Operational activity:
Run Activity – Monitoring and acting as required on the health of various Security tools. Incident Response – responding with appropriate actions as required regarding tooling within the remit of the SET. Triaging requests incoming to the Engineering Team mailbox and Service Management intake queue, ensuring ownership within the wider team is appropriately assigned and requests have ownership.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.Your role You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of client IT infrastructures and follow core IT Service Management Principles. This includes on-call and out of hours coverage. You will keep the lights green on all Security Toolkit Infrastructure within our remit and support various toolsets including Microsoft Security Stack, Email Gateway, SIEM, IDPS, GVM and Malware Protection. You will record and respond to health alerts from the Security Infrastructure we maintain. Require knowledge of how to tune and enable polices, features and enhancements as required in response to Security Incidents and general enhancements requested by the client. Subject matter expertise in above mentioned security toolkit.

We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.Your skills and experience An understanding of security threats, compromise methods, server, client and network technologies working in an IT outsourcing environment and aptitude to learn new technologies. You will provide excellent communication skills both written and verbal, client engagement skills, time management, expectation management etc with an ability to keep calm and perform under pressurised situations. Track record of implementation and management of an enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution to monitor, detect, and prevent unauthorized data access, transmission, or leakage across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments. Experience required of MS Cloud Security, including Email Gateway, Sentinel, Defender, Wider E5 licensing suite. Desirable: Netskope experience administering and maintaining Netskope Security Cloud platform, including configuration of policies, integration with identity providers and SIEM tools, troubleshooting service issues, and ensuring optimal performance.
