Senior Security Engineer
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Security Engineer to take ownership of product and platform security across our Linux estate and help us build security into the way we design, develop and operate our systems.
In your first six months, you’ll focus on two priorities: owning our security testing cycle end to end, from commissioning penetration tests through to triage and remediation, and establishing a consistent, defensible hardening and patching baseline for our supported systems.
You’ll also own vulnerability management, contribute to threat modelling and DevSecOps, support platform lifecycle decisions, and act as a technical security point of contact for customers and their security teams.

What we’re looking for
- Strong hands-on experience in product, infrastructure or platform security.
- Deep Linux security engineering experience, including hardening, patching, access control and network segmentation.
- Experience managing penetration-test findings through to closure, including challenging findings where the reported severity doesn’t reflect the actual risk.
- Practical vulnerability management experience with tools such as Nessus, Tenable or OpenVAS.
- Experience securing long-lived or legacy systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with engineers, customers and commercial teams.
Experience in regulated, industrial, manufacturing or logistics sector would be advantageous as would experience in IEC 62443, C++/PostgreSQL application security, DevSecOps, supplier assurance or ISO 27001 would be valuable.

We care more about what you’ve secured than which certificates you hold, but CISSP, GIAC/SANS, OSCP/CREST or IEC 62443/ISO 27001 qualifications are all relevant—and we’ll support further development.

What we offer
In return we have a fantastic benefits package on offer along with a salary of £70,000 - £80,000.
The office is based near Northampton and we are happy to discuss the level of onsite presence.
