šŸ” Senior Security Engineer | Up to Ā£90,000 | London / Hybrid

I’m working with a well-known retail organisation looking to hire a Senior Security Engineer as they continue through a major technology and security transformation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a lean, senior security team and take genuine ownership across Security Engineering – helping to design, build and improve security capabilities rather than simply maintaining an established environment.

The role will work closely with senior Security and Technology leadership, supporting the organisation’s wider cloud and digital transformation and helping to embed security across technology delivery.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, implement and improve security capabilities across Azure and Microsoft environments
  • Work across Microsoft Sentinel, Defender and wider Microsoft security tooling
  • Strengthen cloud, infrastructure and identity security, including Entra ID / Active Directory
  • Improve security monitoring, threat detection and response capabilities
  • Support the design and implementation of security architecture and controls
  • Embed security into technology projects and wider transformation initiatives
  • Work closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, Engineering and Architecture teams
  • Support vulnerability management, remediation and security assurance
  • Contribute to incident response and the continuous improvement of security processes
  • Help shape the organisation’s longer-term security engineering roadmap and capability

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience working within a transformation or build environment would be particularly valuable – this role would suit someone who enjoys improving security capability, solving problems and having genuine ownership rather than purely BAU operations.

You’ll need to be comfortable working with both technical teams and senior stakeholders, with the ability to take security requirements from design and strategy through to implementation.
