Senior Security Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and enhance security solutions that enable engineering teams to develop and deploy applications confidently and securely. This role combines hands-on security engineering, automation, cloud security, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen security across enterprise platforms and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement security controls, frameworks, and guardrails across cloud-based and enterprise technology environments.
- Build and maintain security solutions that support secure application development, infrastructure protection, and operational resilience.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, security audits, penetration testing coordination, and risk evaluations to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Conduct password security reviews, network security assessments, application security testing, and access control monitoring.
- Automate security processes and integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and software development workflows.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Compliance as Code practices to support secure and compliant deployments.
- Monitor security events, system activity, and access logs to identify anomalies and support incident response activities.
- Develop and maintain security monitoring, detection, and alerting capabilities.
- Perform risk assessments and provide actionable recommendations to improve security posture across applications and infrastructure.
- Support business continuity, backup validation, disaster recovery planning, and resilience initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to translate security requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Drive adoption of security best practices and promote a security-first mindset across technical teams.
- Support secure implementation of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions and intelligent platforms.
- Create documentation, security standards, operational procedures, and technical guidance for stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluate and improve security tools, processes, and controls to address evolving threats.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in Security Engineering, Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, DevSecOps, or related information security roles.
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting solutions within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong programming or scripting skills in one or more languages such as Python, C#, Java, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience automating security processes and workflows.
- Knowledge of application security, infrastructure security, vulnerability management, and identity and access management concepts.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Compliance as Code, and security automation practices.
- Experience working within Agile, DevOps, or continuous delivery environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to assess security risks and provide practical mitigation recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience implementing security controls for cloud-native applications and distributed architectures.
- Knowledge of AI security, model governance, security monitoring, and emerging cybersecurity technologies.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning, intrusion detection, threat monitoring, and security operations practices.
- Familiarity with container security, Kubernetes security, and cloud workload protection.
- Experience integrating security controls within CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps environments.
- Understanding of security frameworks, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting incident response, threat detection, and crisis management activities.
- Knowledge of backup, recovery, business continuity, and resilience strategies.
