Join Canberra Health Services as a Senior Security Officer and contribute to maintaining the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors and assets across our facilities.
As a Senior Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment across Canberra Hospital, the Dhulwa Mental Health Unit and non-acute sites. Through incident response, proactive security functions, and the enforcement of Canberra Health Services policies and directives, you will play an important role in supporting the safety and wellbeing of our healthcare community.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and operating a range of security systems and equipment, including baggage scanning machines, access control and alarm monitoring systems, cameras, radios, intercoms and phones. You will issue identification cards, keys and access passes, identify and report security risks, and uphold staff and patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
You will also undertake a variety of administrative duties, including creating and updating registers and processing invoices, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of security services across Canberra Health Services.

- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
- Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
