Senior Security Operations Analyst
Location: Full time perm opportunity - Hybrid working, London office 2 days/week
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Security Operations Analyst to join a growing Security Operations team and play a key role in protecting the data, systems and people of a leading organisation.
This is a hands-on senior security role with broad exposure across Security Operations, Identity & Access Management, Privileged Access Management, Data Loss Prevention, Endpoint Privilege Management, Vulnerability Management and Security Awareness.
You’ll work closely with IT and application teams, managed service providers, data governance and privacy functions, while also engaging with senior stakeholders to strengthen the organisation’s overall security posture.
What you’ll be doing
- Responding to and managing security incidents and SOC escalations
- Acting as deputy to the Security Operations Lead and providing operational cover for incident response
- Overseeing vulnerability remediation and supporting improvements in security controls
- Managing and developing IGA, PAM and EPM capabilities
- Supporting the day-to-day operation and enhancement of Identity & Access Management
- Defining and prioritising requirements for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls
- Assessing security impacts of technology and configuration changes
- Working with Cyber Security and technology teams to identify and mitigate emerging risks
- Supporting security awareness and phishing simulation programmes
- Building strong relationships across IT, applications, data governance, privacy and third-party providers
- Keeping up to date with emerging cyber security threats, technologies and industry developments
- Driving continuous improvement across security processes, tooling and controls

What we’re looking for
You’ll bring strong experience within a Security Operations / Cyber Security environment, with a good understanding of identity, access, data protection and security controls.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline
- Experience with data protection technologies and data classification
- Experience across Identity & Access Management, IGA and/or PAM
- Knowledge of platforms such as SailPoint, Okta, Azure/Entra ID, Active Directory, federation and SSO
- Experience overseeing internal controls within IAM
- Knowledge of data privacy, data retention and deletion across structured and unstructured data
- Experience with DLP technologies
- Exposure to Endpoint Privilege Management (EPM) would be advantageous
- Experience responding to security incidents and managing security risks
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leadership
- A relevant security certification such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC/GSEC, CIPM or CIPP/E would be highly desirable
- ITIL, Microsoft AD or equivalent IAM-related training would also be advantageous
