A welcoming primary school in Ealing is looking for an experienced Senior SEN Teaching Assistant to provide specialist support for pupils while working closely with the SENCO, teachers, and wider support team.
This is an excellent next step for someone who enjoys direct work with children but would also like to take greater responsibility for interventions, pupil progress, and inclusive practice.
Your Role
You'll support children with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, sensory differences, and learning difficulties.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group SEND interventions.
- Supporting pupils to access classroom learning.
- Helping implement EHCP outcomes and individual support plans.
- Adapting activities and resources around individual needs.
- Monitoring progress and feeding back to teachers and the SENCO.
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Encouraging communication, confidence, and independence.
- Helping pupils manage routines and transitions.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.
- Sharing effective SEND strategies with other Teaching Assistants where appropriate.
- Contributing to a consistent and inclusive approach across the school.
