ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This role is available due to an internal transition, offering a great opportunity for a new team member to join and make an impact.

We are looking for a Senior SEO & GEO Manager to lead organic search strategy across some of NP Digital’s highest-priority and most complex enterprise clients.

The role spans traditional SEO, AI Search and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), with responsibility for helping clients improve visibility across Google Search, AI Overviews and emerging AI platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.

You will own client strategy, performance and senior stakeholder relationships, while also managing and developing team members from Executive through Strategist level.

As the team continues to scale, you will support the Director of Earned Media & Associate Director of SEO & GEO in developing our SEO and GEO proposition, processes, measurement frameworks and ways of working. You will also contribute to new business through audits, opportunity analysis and pitch support.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong strategic thinking, commercial awareness and the ability to move comfortably between client leadership, team development and detailed organic search analysis.

To be considered, candidates must currently reside and be eligible to work in the UK.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead SEO and GEO strategy across complex enterprise accounts, translating client objectives into clear, prioritised organic growth plans.
  • Develop strategies covering traditional search and AI-driven discovery, including Google Search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other emerging platforms.
  • Identify opportunities across technical SEO, content, Digital PR, authority, entities, structured data and off-site visibility.
  • Use search, analytics and AI visibility data to identify opportunities, prioritise activity and demonstrate commercial impact.
  • Lead keyword, topic, entity and audience research to understand how customers search, discover and evaluate brands across traditional and generative search.
  • Develop content strategies designed for both search performance and AI discoverability, including extractability, citation potential, authority and topical coverage.
  • Monitor organic visibility, AI visibility, citations, traffic, conversions and other relevant KPIs, turning performance data into clear recommendations.
  • Stay ahead of changes across search engines, LLMs and AI discovery platforms, translating developments into practical client strategies.
  • Own senior client relationships, confidently presenting strategy, performance, recommendations and industry developments.
  • Manage, mentor and develop SEO team members, providing regular coaching, feedback and opportunities for progression.
  • Provide strategic oversight and quality assurance across work produced by junior team members and contractors.
  • Support the Director of Earned Media with team planning, resource management, capability development and the evolution of NP Digital’s SEO and GEO offering.
  • Lead internal training and knowledge sharing across SEO, GEO and wider digital marketing topics.
  • Support new business opportunities through audits, opportunity sizing, strategic recommendations and pitch presentations.
  • Collaborate with Content, Digital PR, Paid Media, Data, UX and other specialist teams to deliver integrated search strategies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
