About the Role
Harrington Partners is supporting an established UK health and wellbeing brand in appointing a commercially focused and technically strong Senior SEO Lead.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Ecommerce Manager, you will take ownership of the SEO channel - shaping the roadmap, leading execution and driving measurable growth in organic revenue, traffic and search visibility.
The role covers traditional organic search alongside the rapidly evolving area of AI search and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO). You will work closely with the Content, Development, CRO and Paid Media teams to strengthen performance across every stage of the customer journey.
Key responsibilities
- Own the SEO channel’s strategy, roadmap, execution and performance
- Drive growth across organic revenue, traffic value and return on investment
- Improve brand visibility, traffic and citations across major AI platforms
- Lead the approach to GEO, AI Overviews and emerging search experiences
- Manage technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content strategy and off-page activity
- Build and optimise landing pages around priority categories and search terms
- Conduct technical, content and competitor audits and implement improvements
- Monitor algorithm changes and assess their commercial impact
- Maintain reporting that clearly connects SEO activity with business outcomes
- Present weekly performance updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Build commercial cases for further investment in SEO

Skills and Experience
- Proven experience owning or leading an SEO channel, with responsibility for strategy and results
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to connect SEO performance with revenue and business value
- Sound technical SEO knowledge, including crawling, indexing, site architecture, Core Web Vitals and structured data
- Experience across on-page SEO, content optimisation and link-building
- An understanding of AI search visibility and GEO, or a strong interest in developing within this area
- Proficiency with tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush and Screaming Frog
- Confidence presenting performance and recommendations to senior, non-technical stakeholders

You will be proactive, analytical and commercially minded, with strong technical curiosity and a focus on delivering measurable results. You should be comfortable taking ownership of the channel, adapting to changes in search behaviour and identifying new opportunities for organic growth.
