The Job

You’d lead SEO strategy and delivery on some of our more complex, higher-value client accounts, reporting to our SEO Team Lead. You’d work largely independently, with regular client contact, and mentor the Specialists and Executives in the team.

Our clients are a mix of ecommerce, beauty, B2B and financial services brands, and our SEO team works alongside specialists in Content, Digital PR, Paid Media and Social. Your job is to make sure the SEO on your accounts is technically sound, data-driven and clearly tied to what each client needs from it (visibility, traffic and the revenue or leads that follow).

What you’d be doing

  • Leading the SEO strategy and delivery on your accounts. That means turning each client’s goals into a plan with clear milestones and KPIs, running the technical audits, keyword research and opportunity analysis that shape it, and reading the performance data to decide what to change. You’d report back on what changed, why, and what we’re doing next, and with support, take a growing lead in weekly client calls and QSRs.
  • Lead or contribute to our bigger technical projects (site migrations, large-scale audits, international SEO, Core Web Vitals).
  • Search is changing faster than it has in years. We want someone who follows how AI answers are reshaping it (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews) and turns that into recommendations for clients.
  • Mentor, coach, proof and peer review work for our Specialists and Executives, and help build the templates, SOPs and quality checks that make good work repeatable.
  • Build a reputation for your expertise inside and outside Liberty (lunch and learns, blogs, webinars).
  • Bring channel insight and evidence to pitches, renewals and proposals, and spot where a client would benefit from more of what we do.
  • Join up with Content, Digital PR, Paid Media, Social and Client Services so technical, content and authority work all pull in the same direction for each client.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About Liberty

We’ve been in Cardiff since 2008 and we’re one of the largest independent digital agencies in Wales. We were chosen this year by Visit Wales for the biggest marketing account in the country. Our CEO, Gareth, is a true digital marketer who built an agency, and sits on the board of the CIM. Doing good marketing is at the core of what we stand for. Our people speak at Hero Conf, Brighton SEO and Women in Tech.

You’d be joining an SEO team known for doing some exciting work: Universal Music Group trusted us with the technical SEO for a migration of 22 websites across 17 territories. Our local SEO for Pizza Express generated over £36m in extra table bookings in 18 months. Peacocks saw a 98% year-on-year increase in organic revenue. San Carlo took around £1m of December bookings from organic search. Aldermore Bank now gets regular traffic and conversions from LLM search off the back of our work, and a single Astutis digital PR campaign earned 54 new AI citations.

Our values are Accountable, Brave and Curious. In practice this means that you own the outcome, say when something isn’t working, and keep looking for a better way to do it.

  • 36 days off a year (25 holiday, bank holidays and Christmas closure)
  • Private healthcare
  • Perkbox
  • One day a week in the Cardiff office if you’re commutable, quarterly visits if you’re remotely based

If you’re interested, send us your CV and a short note on an SEO project you’re proud of and what it did for the client’s numbers. We look forward to hearing from you.
