Senior SEO Specialist (Senior/Lead)
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SEO Specialist (Senior/Lead) based in United Kingdom.
This is a senior-level SEO opportunity within a fast-paced, international iGaming environment, focused on driving sustainable organic growth across competitive markets.
You will own SEO strategy from planning and execution through performance analysis and continuous optimization.
The role combines technical SEO, content, link building, competitor intelligence, and experimentation to improve rankings and traffic.
You will work closely with content, development, analytics, and outreach teams to turn SEO opportunities into measurable business results.
Success will require strong analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and the ability to react quickly to search-engine changes.
You will have significant ownership over KPIs, budgets, acquisition opportunities, and the evolution of SEO initiatives across European markets.
This is a fully remote role suited to an experienced SEO professional who thrives in competitive and rapidly changing environments.
Accountabilities
- Develop and execute SEO strategies aligned with business objectives, with a focus on achieving and maintaining strong organic rankings in competitive markets.
- Drive websites toward top Google positions while monitoring algorithm updates, ranking volatility, penalties, filters, and other search-engine developments.
- Plan and execute content, link-building, on-page, off-page, and technical SEO initiatives to increase qualified organic traffic.
- Analyze SERPs, competitors, domains, market trends, and emerging opportunities to identify new avenues for growth.
- Define SEO objectives and KPIs, monitor performance, investigate deviations, and prepare regular performance reports.
- Manage SEO budgets in line with agreed KPIs, optimizing investments and improving cost efficiency and ROI.
- Develop, test, and evaluate SEO hypotheses while exploring alternative traffic acquisition channels and promotion approaches.
- Prepare and assign technical and SEO tasks across content, development, analytics, and outreach teams, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Diagnose performance issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions based on data and technical analysis.
- Coordinate cross-functional SEO initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of websites, processes, and acquisition strategies.

Requirements
- 3+ years of professional SEO experience within the gambling or iGaming industry, with hands-on responsibility for organic growth.
- Proven experience working with European markets; exposure to Tier 1 markets is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrable success promoting websites in competitive or grey niches within the recent 3–6 months.
- Deep understanding of search-engine algorithms, ranking factors, SERP dynamics, and the impact of algorithm updates.
- Strong technical SEO knowledge, including website architecture, development principles, indexing, and site optimization fundamentals.
- Practical experience handling search-engine filters, manual penalties, domain blocks, and other complex SEO challenges.
- Solid knowledge of both on-page and off-page SEO, including content strategy and link acquisition.
- Experience creating clear technical briefs and tasks for content, development, analytics, and other specialist teams, as well as monitoring delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate performance issues and identify their underlying causes.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to adapt SEO strategies quickly in response to market or search-engine changes.
- Fluent Ukrainian, both written and spoken.
- Experience with WordPress configuration and website launches is a plus.
- Experience coordinating content, development, analytics, and outreach teams is advantageous.
- Understanding of backlink and domain quality versus cost, as well as experience with alternative or grey-hat SEO approaches, is desirable.
- Basic HTML and CSS knowledge, experience automating business processes, and confident use of modern LLM tools are additional advantages.
