About the Job

As part of the development of our Digital Services function, we are recruiting to strengthen internal digital capability within Cyber Security, Digital Operational Services, and Digital Corporate and Shared Services. These roles are central to building sustainable in-house expertise that supports the management, development, and delivery of digital solutions across the transport network.

As the Senior Service Delivery Manager for MIDAS (Motorway Incident Detection and Automatic Signalling), you will be accountable for the operational performance, reliability, resilience, and continual improvement of one of National Highways' most critical roadside technology services.

MIDAS plays a vital role in monitoring traffic conditions across the Strategic Road Network, enabling congestion detection, supporting operational decision-making within Regional Control Centres, and contributing to safer, smoother, and more reliable journeys for road users. You will lead the delivery and optimisation of this nationally significant service, ensuring performance, availability, and customer outcomes remain at the forefront of service management activities.

Working across organisational boundaries, you will collaborate with operational teams, asset managers, engineering specialists, suppliers, maintainers, and service providers to maximise the value and effectiveness of MIDAS throughout its lifecycle, while supporting the successful delivery of ongoing technology transformation initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
