Senior Service Designer
Who we are:
Create/Change is a forward-thinking organisation focused on designing services and experiences that drive positive impact for people, businesses, and communities. The company partners with clients across various sectors to reimagine how services are delivered, using human-centered design and evidence-based methods.
We typically deliver complex transformations within the Gov/Public Sector on public facing issues spanning across multiple areas such as Healthcare, education, and justice.
Team members collaborate remotely, leveraging digital tools to co-create solutions with clients and stakeholders. Create/Change values inclusive practices, continuous learning, and practical innovation that leads to measurable outcomes for end users.
Who we are looking for:
The Senior Service Designer will lead end-to-end service design projects, from framing problems and defining opportunities to delivering clear service blueprints and implementation recommendations. Daily responsibilities include:

- Planning and conducting user research
- Facilitating workshops with clients and stakeholders
- Creating journey maps, service blueprints, and prototypes to explore and validate solutions
The role involves:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Synthesizing insights into actionable concepts
- Guiding organizations in adopting design thinking practices
The Senior Service Designer will also:
- Mentor/support other designers
- Contribute to methodologies and best practices
- Ensure that solutions are feasible, desirable, and aligned with business objectives
Skills required to successfully apply:
- Strong Service Design skills, including service blueprinting, journey mapping, and end-to-end experience design
- Proficiency in Design Thinking methods, with experience applying them to complex, multi-stakeholder challenges
- Ability to create and iterate Prototypes to explore concepts and validate assumptions with users and stakeholders
- Experience working with User Researchers, including interviews, contextual inquiry, and usability testing
- Facilitation skills for workshops, co-creation sessions, and stakeholder alignment activities in remote and hybrid settings
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams and working with product, technology, and business stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
- Interest and curiosity in AI tooling and how that can help augment practices

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Service Design, Interaction Design, UX, Innovation, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Prior experience in a senior or lead design role, ideally in consultancy, public sector/Gov, or complex service environments
