Job Description

Within our Government & Institutions and Trade Facilitation activities, SGS partners with governments around the world to strengthen revenue collection, combat fraud, facilitate legitimate trade and support economic development.

Our solutions help customs authorities, tax administrations and ministries of finance tackle some of today's most critical challenges:

  • Illicit trade and smuggling
  • Customs fraud and undervaluation
  • Revenue leakage
  • Counterfeit goods
  • Border security and trade facilitation
  • Digital transformation of customs and tax administrations

As governments increasingly seek innovative solutions to protect public revenues and modernize their operations, we are looking for an ambitious professional to help shape the future of our Anti-Fraud business worldwide.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional product management role.

As Senior Service Development Manager - Tax & Customs Anti-Fraud, you will play a pivotal role in defining, developing and expanding SGS' portfolio of anti-fraud, customs modernization and revenue assurance solutions.

You will work at the intersection of:

You will collaborate with senior leaders, government officials, technology providers and commercial teams across multiple regions, with a strong focus on emerging markets and Africa.

What You Will Be Doing

Drive Global Service Growth

  • Identify emerging market opportunities and develop innovative solutions addressing government challenges.
  • Build compelling business cases and support investment decisions for new products and services.
  • Drive growth initiatives across existing and new international markets.

Develop Innovative Government Solutions

  • Support the development and commercialization of services related to:
    • Revenue assurance
    • Customs valuation control
    • Anti-illicit trade initiatives
    • Track & trace solutions
    • Tax stamp programmes
    • Risk management and intelligence solutions
    • Trade facilitation services
    • Customs modernization programmes
    • Digital government platforms

Lead Strategic Business Development

  • Support complex opportunities with governments, customs authorities and revenue agencies.
  • Contribute to tender strategies and major international bids.
  • Develop relationships with key public-sector stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Partner with regional commercial teams to accelerate growth opportunities.

Influence Global Stakeholders

  • Collaborate with experts across commercial, operational, regulatory and technology functions.
  • Represent SGS at international conferences, government meetings and industry forums.
  • Act as a thought leader on anti-fraud, customs, taxation and trade facilitation topics.

Qualifications

Who We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in tax, customs, trade facilitation, anti-fraud or government advisory environments.
  • Strong understanding of customs, taxation, border management or revenue assurance ecosystems.
  • Proven experience in driving innovation across products, services, and business models to strengthen unique value proposition
  • Exposure to business development, client engagement, commercial strategy or sales activities.
  • Ability to engage credibly with senior government stakeholders.
  • Experience working across international and multicultural environments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for creating and growing businesses.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience in anti-fraud solutions, illicit trade prevention or revenue assurance.
  • Experience with customs modernization, digital government or tax transformation projects.
  • Experience working with public tenders and government procurement processes.
  • Exposure to African markets.
  • French language capabilities.
  • Product development or go-to-market experience.
