Senior ServiceNow Developer
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and optimize scalable ServiceNow solutions across enterprise environments. This role requires deep platform expertise, strong engineering discipline, and the ability to work closely with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
As a senior contributor, you will not only develop solutions but also mentor other developers, enforce best practices, and help shape platform standards and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and configuration of ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and platform standards
- Translate business requirements into technical designs, implementation plans, and high-quality deliverables
- Develop advanced ServiceNow components including:
- Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions
- Flow Designer / IntegrationHub workflows
- ACLs and security configurations
- Custom applications (App Engine) and scoped development
- Build and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and external authentication mechanisms
- Ensure performance, scalability, maintainability, and compliance across ServiceNow implementations
- Provide technical leadership in sprint delivery, backlog refinement, and solution reviews
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing and development standards
- Support production releases, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide root cause analysis
- Maintain high-quality documentation for solutions, configurations, and technical decisions

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience in complex environments
- Strong ServiceNow platform expertise, including best practices for:
- ITSM (mandatory)
- CMDB and CSDM principles
- Workflow/Flow Designer
- Service Portal / UI Builder (depending on scope)
- Advanced JavaScript skills and solid understanding of ServiceNow scripting patterns
- Experience in designing and implementing enterprise integrations (REST/SOAP, MID Server, data imports)
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management operating models
- Experience in Agile delivery (Scrum), with proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow certifications such as:
- Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in one or more modules
- Experience with ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management)
- Experience with SecOps, GRC, HRSD, or CSM
- Knowledge of ServiceNow Performance Analytics and reporting
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, ATF (Automated Test Framework), and release automation
