London, Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle upon Tyne with an element of working from home. Existing employees of Acas are welcome to apply and remain in their current contracted office. Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to:

  • Support the Head of Collaboration Engineering in delivering key elements of the Data Strategy.
  • Manage the technical developments to the intranet, currently via MS SharePoint.
  • Manage and maintain elements of the Acas Office365 tenancy (including SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Office, all Power Platform products).
  • Work with customers to advise on data related practices, offer guidance and support developmental projects.
  • Manage the creation of intranets, portals, document management systems and Co-Pilot agents.
  • Support the team with wider team with innovative developments in data science and analytics.

Job Description

The post holder's main accountabilities include:

  • Supporting document management improvement initiatives in SharePoint that will contribute to Co-Pilot chat agents and AI initiatives relating to the intranet.
  • Managing the Intranet – Accountable for intranet management, development and permission management.
  • Intranet Content – Accountable for overseeing content curation and development within the intranet (plus other products when needed), including adherence to regulatory standards and GDPR.
  • Intranet Testing – Accountable for functional testing / usability testing for the intranet and intranet related low-code applications.
  • Service Support – Accountable for managing incidents and service requests relating to the intranet and SharePoint using the Service Desk IT Service Management tool.
  • Training Documentation – Accountable for creation of guidance documentation and training for a variety of audiences, in partnership with the Learning and Development team.
  • Leading and being accountable for the communication and business requirements gathering with key business partners related to SharePoint and intranet content, ensuring customer focus and quality assurance are key drivers.
  • Data Strategy Support – Support the delivery of the Data Strategy, via contributing to relevant data science projects and data analysis work at the appropriate level.
  • Line management and development of a small team of dedicated SharePoint/O365 staff to support developments in MS related products, including SharePoint, Power Bi and Power Apps.

Person specification

Essential Experience Criteria:

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Strong experience in stakeholder relationship management skills including requirements elicitation and leading workshops (Lead criterion).
  • Line management experience, including mentoring and developing staff.
  • Ability to demonstrate extensive experience of leading on the development of intranets, portals and document management systems, including quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to demonstrate the curation and development of intranet content, including knowledge of relevant Data Protection and GDPR legislation.
  • Ability to work with a range of internal stakeholders, to both capture and share requirements and best practice related to the use of intranets, portals and document management systems.
  • Experience of testing deploying MS solutions and tools specifically for intranet environments.
  • Experience of creating guidance and training materials and supporting the dissemination.

Essential Technical Criteria:

  • Thorough technical ability relating to SharePoint and associated technologies, including creation, maintenance, full lifecycle support, and understanding of the underlying architecture (Lead criterion).
  • Thorough experience of document migration and restructuring.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to changing technical developments and to communicate these to stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Experience in workflow design and automation.

Desirable Criteria - the following will be assessed in the event of a tie-breaker scenario at sift or interview:

  • Relevant Certifications in MS Power Platform and evidence of relevant IT/Data Science related training.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience of using a range of tools and techniques related to data science and data analysis; to support the creation of innovative products and reports (e.g., Python, R, R Shiny).
  • Experience of project working within a DDaT environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management.
  • Experience with Agent creation within Co-Pilot Studio.

Interview Details

If you have successfully passed sift at the application stage, you will be invited to an interview via Microsoft Teams, which is likely to take place from the week commencing 31 August 2026.

It will be an Experience and Technical based interview.

The following Essential Experience criteria will be assessed at Interview:

  • Strong experience in stakeholder relationship management skills including requirements elicitation and leading workshops.
  • Line management experience, including mentoring and developing staff.
  • Experience of testing deploying MS solutions and tools specifically for intranet environments.

The following Essential Technical criteria will be assessed at Interview:

  • Thorough technical ability relating to SharePoint and associated technologies, including creation, maintenance, full lifecycle support, and understanding of the underlying architecture.
  • Experience in workflow design and automation.

A reserve list will be created for this position; this means that if you have passed the interview, but we cannot immediately offer you this position, you will be placed on a reserve list for 12 months and may be considered for similar positions during that time.
