Senior Microsoft 365 / Power Platform Engineer
Location: UK (Hybrid)
Salary: £70,000 – £80,000
Employment Type: Permanent
We are seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 / Power Platform Engineer to provide advanced expertise in designing, configuring, and developing solutions across the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform ecosystems.
This role focuses on building complex business applications, modernising collaboration platforms, automating workflows, and delivering secure cloud-native solutions using Microsoft technologies including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions follow best practice governance models, security principles, and compliance requirements. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, supportable, and well-governed digital solutions.
Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced solutions across Microsoft 365 and Power Platform
- Develop complex applications using Power Apps
- Build automated workflows and integrations using Power Automate
- Design and configure SharePoint Online structures and Microsoft Teams collaboration solutions
- Develop data visualisation and reporting solutions using Power BI / Microsoft Fabric
- Ensure solutions follow Microsoft 365 governance, security, and compliance standards
- Support technical design, configuration, and implementation of digital workplace solutions
- Integrate Microsoft 365 solutions with third-party platforms and services
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and delivery teams
- Support testing, validation, and quality assurance of solutions
- Produce technical documentation, solution designs, and implementation guides
- Support handover and transition of solutions into operational support teams

Project Involvement
You will support a large-scale transformation programme focused on modernising collaboration platforms and reducing reliance on legacy technologies.
A key part of this role involves contributing to the Notes Migration Accelerator, including:
- Assessing legacy Notes applications and databases
- Recommending modern replacement approaches using Microsoft 365 and Power Platform
- Developing replacement solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Teams
- Supporting data migration and transformation activities
- Creating reporting and insights using Power BI or Microsoft Fabric
- Ensuring secure handling and integration of sensitive business information
Your work will help accelerate the transition to modern digital collaboration tools while removing long-term dependency on legacy platforms.

- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 platform architecture and configuration
- Advanced experience with Power Apps and Power Automate
- Strong experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams solutions
- Experience building complex business applications using Power Platform
- Experience with Power BI or Microsoft Fabric
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Experience integrating Microsoft 365 solutions with external systems
- Strong troubleshooting and solution design skills
- Experience working in enterprise environments
- Previous experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
Desirable Experience
- Experience migrating applications from legacy platforms such as Notes
- Experience delivering digital workplace transformation programmes
- Knowledge of data migration and transformation strategies
- Experience working with secure or regulated environments
