Teamforce Labour is currently seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer for an immediate start on a major Civil Engineering and Infrastructure project in Rossendale, Lancashire, BB4.
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading Civil Engineering contractors, working on large-scale infrastructure schemes.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineering professional with a strong background in heavy civils, infrastructure and setting out, who can lead engineering activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out accurate setting out using GPS, Total Station and surveying equipment.
- Establish, maintain and verify survey control across the project.
- Complete as-built surveys and maintain accurate engineering records.
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with project drawings, specifications and design requirements.
- Monitor and maintain quality assurance procedures, inspections and documentation.
- Identify and resolve engineering issues, technical queries and design discrepancies.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors and design teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Mentor and support Site Engineers and junior engineering staff.
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance.
- Assist with planning engineering activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within specification.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Engineer, or an experienced Site Engineer ready to progress into a senior role.
- Extensive setting out experience on Civil Engineering, Infrastructure or Heavy Civils projects.
- Experience delivering earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete structures, highways and utility works.
- Competence using Leica, Trimble or equivalent surveying equipment.
- Strong understanding of QA procedures, inspections and as-built documentation.
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the wider site management team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- SMSTS is desirable but not essential.
- An up-to-date CV.
