Senior Site Engineer β Civils / Overhead Line Project
π Stowmarket, Suffolk | π· Β£40βΒ£42 per hour | β³ Minimum 7 months | π Immediate start
JML JobMatcha is currently seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a major civils project near Stowmarket, overseeing Ground Investigation works on a significant Overhead Line project.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineering professional to take a lead role on a large-scale infrastructure project, with strong potential for the contract to extend beyond the initial term.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for overseeing Ground Investigation works and managing site engineering activities across the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification, and in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing Ground Investigation works across the project
- Managing site engineering activities and ensuring works are delivered to specification
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical information
- Maintaining quality assurance records and site documentation
- Ensuring works are carried out safely and in accordance with project requirements
- Supporting the wider project team with planning and delivery

About You
- Civil Engineering Degree (or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS Card
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Engineer within the civils sector
- Experience managing and overseeing site engineering activities
- Strong understanding of ground investigation, setting out, quality assurance, and site documentation
- Ability to liaise effectively with site teams, subcontractors, and project management
