About the Role
TEXO Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Civil Senior Site Engineer to join an established construction business, with opportunities available on both a permanent and contract basis.
The successful candidate will provide technical support on site, ensuring works are set out accurately and delivered in line with drawings, specifications, programme and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out setting out and surveying duties on site
- Interpret and work from construction drawings and specifications
- Provide technical support and guidance to site teams
- Check levels, dimensions and tolerances
- Monitor works to ensure they are completed to the required standard
- Complete site records, surveys and relevant documentation
- Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors and design teams
- Identify and resolve technical issues on site
- Assist with planning and coordination of construction activities
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with health, safety and quality requirements
- Support and mentor junior engineers where required

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer within construction/civil engineering
- Strong setting out and surveying experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good understanding of construction methods and site procedures
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and quality requirements
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider site team
Desirable
- Relevant engineering or construction qualification
- CSCS or equivalent site qualification
- Experience working on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Experience using AutoCAD or relevant engineering/surveying software
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior engineers
