About The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a leading main contractor on a major new-build school project.

This is an excellent opportunity to take a senior role on a high-profile project, overseeing the construction process from inception through to completion and handover. You’ll play a key role in leading the site team, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to members of the project team.
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and control of the project.
  • Manage site staff, labour and subcontractors throughout the construction phase.
  • Plan, implement and monitor site logistics.
  • Effectively manage and mitigate project delays.
  • Ensure dimensional controls are established and maintained from the outset.
  • Maintain accurate daily site records and site diaries.
  • Ensure the project is delivered in accordance with quality control and management procedures.
  • Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety across the site.
  • Liaise closely with the Design Team to ensure design information is issued in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, design team, subcontractors, neighbours and wider project stakeholders.
  • Drive the project through to successful completion and handover.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager with a strong background working on major construction projects, ideally within main contracting and new-build construction.

You’ll Ideally Have

  • A construction-related degree or relevant trade background.
  • Strong construction management and leadership experience.
  • Experience managing large and complex projects.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety.
  • Good first aid knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • The ability to effectively manage teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects safely, on programme and to a high standard.
