Senior Site Manager

Location: Central London
Project: Major commercial redevelopment
Contract: Long-term project
Start: ASAP / subject to availability

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager / Construction Manager to join a major construction project in Central London. The successful candidate will have strong experience working on cut & carve projects and structural steel, with a solid understanding of complex structural alterations, temporary works, and working within an existing building structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day site activities across cut & carve and structural steel packages.
  • Coordinating structural steel installation, alterations, and associated works.
  • Managing subcontractors, labour, and site resources.
  • Working closely with the Project Manager, engineers, and design teams.
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinating temporary works and sequencing activities around existing structures.
  • Monitoring progress and resolving site issues efficiently.
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety and site compliance.
  • Attending coordination and progress meetings as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience in cut & carve construction.
  • Strong experience with structural steel installation and alterations.
  • Experience working on complex refurbishment or major commercial projects.
  • A good understanding of structural sequencing and temporary works.
  • Strong subcontractor and workforce management skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering work to programme.
  • Relevant site management qualifications, ideally SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid.
