We are recruiting for a Senior Site Manager or Site Manager to join us here at Octavius.

We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

You'll be working on...

A £6–10m roads and infrastructure improvement scheme in Cambridge. This project benefits from Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), giving you the opportunity to shape the design, influence buildability, and drive efficient, right-first-time delivery from the outset.

You will take ownership of on-site delivery, leading a multi-disciplinary team to successfully transition from design into construction. Your focus will be on developing strong relationships with the client, designers, and supply chain, ensuring the project is delivered safely, to programme, and to the highest quality standards.

As a key leader on site, you'll create a collaborative, high-performing environment, embedding our values and ensuring a positive experience for both stakeholders and the travelling public.

You'll receive...

(because we value you)

We offer a competitive rewards package, including a Company Car scheme, Private Healthcare, Pension, Life Assurance cover, 25 days Annual Leave (and a day off for your birthday). You'll also have access to an enhanced Paternity & Maternity package and the opportunity to develop yourself personally and professionally.

About You...

You are an experienced Site Manager or Senior Site Manager with a proven track record of delivering highways or civil engineering projects in a live environment.

You thrive in a collaborative setting and enjoy working closely with clients, designers, and supply chain partners, particularly in early engagement phases such as ECI, where your input can shape project success.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
