The Opportunity

We are currently working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Site Manager to join the delivery team on a major scheme in North London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Senior Site Manager with a strong track record delivering major construction projects and, in particular, hands-on experience managing the structural steel frame phase of a project.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the site team, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required programme, quality and commercial standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the project.
• Lead and coordinate site teams, engineers, subcontractors and specialist contractors.
• Manage the structural steel frame package, from pre-start and logistics through to erection, coordination and completion.
• Ensure steelwork activities are delivered in accordance with the programme, drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate closely with the design, engineering and commercial teams to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Manage sequencing and interfaces between the steel frame and other trades/packages.
• Monitor progress against programme and proactively identify and address potential delays.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Chair and attend subcontractor coordination and progress meetings.
• Ensure works are properly planned, coordinated and resourced.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are delivered to the required standards.
• Provide leadership and direction to Site Managers, Engineers and the wider delivery team.
• Maintain accurate site records and contribute to reporting on progress, programme and key risks.
