The Opportunity
An established and highly regarded regional main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their operational team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of a major construction project in Malvern.
The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors, with a growing pipeline of work and a clear focus on quality, safety and client satisfaction.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who is looking for a role where they can take genuine ownership of a project and play a key part in its successful delivery.
The Role
As Senior Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring it is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site.
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors and site-based teams.
- Ensuring the project is delivered in line with programme and budget requirements.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Planning and coordinating site activities and sequencing works effectively.
- Managing quality throughout the construction process.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and project information.
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team.
- Attending progress meetings and providing regular project updates.
- Managing subcontractor performance and ensuring works are completed to specification.
- Identifying and resolving site issues and potential programme delays.
- Monitoring progress against the construction programme.
- Ensuring site records, documentation and reporting are maintained accurately.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
- Leading and supporting the site management team where required.
- Ensuring the project is completed to the highest possible standards.

About You
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as a Senior Site Manager or experienced Site Manager for a main contractor.
- A strong background in main contracting and commercial construction.
- Experience managing projects from start through to completion.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements and construction best practice.
- The ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
- The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Relevant construction qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
