TITLE – Senior Site Manager
Location – South East
What you will be doing:
- You will provide clear leadership and direction to site teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, even within challenging market conditions.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and supply chain partners, you will drive operational excellence, make sound business decisions, and foster a positive, high-performing team culture.
- Through your integrity, maturity, and strong leadership skills, you will build trust, inspire confidence, and ensure successful project outcomes while supporting the wider objectives of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Project Manager or Operations Manager.
- Assume direct responsibility for the operational team on site, for example Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers, Labour and Contingent Worker Managers, in a line manager capacity.
- Be accountable for the delivery of works on site (whole or section), liaising with all functions, including commercial, design, services, planning, and safety to achieve a positive outcome.
- Ensure that allocated projects or sections are completed in an effective, economic manner, to a high quality standard in compliance with the Company Procedures, and Delivering Excellence.
- Maintain a positive client interface and build strong relationships to support the business’ strategy to secure repeat business.
- Take full responsibility for the delivery of projects (or sections) on site, allowing the Project Manager to undertake their role without unnecessary distractions.
- Deputise for the Project Manager when on leave or unavailable.
About you:
Personal:
- Good communication verbally and in written form.
- Present a clean and tidy site and have a good knowledge of the considerate contractor’s requirements to achieve high scores.
- Good understanding and implementation of GT BMS paperwork processes.
- Report all breaches of Health and Safety Rules and Regulations to the Line Manager.
- Make recommendations of material and plant requirements to the site manager.

Technical:
- Hold a professional qualification HNC, ONC or equivalent.
- Hold an appropriate CSCS card.
- Be trained as fire marshal.
- 5-day SMSTS.
- Must have experience of working within the Construction industry.
- Must have experience of working within frameworks and promote a positive set of behaviors at all times.
- Hold current first aid certification.
