About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a leading UK construction and engineering contractor on the delivery of a new Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school in Faringdon.
The company is recognised for delivering high-quality construction projects across the education, healthcare, justice, defence, commercial, and public sectors. With a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and sustainable construction, they have built an excellent reputation for successfully delivering complex projects that create lasting value for local communities. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to strengthen their site management team with an experienced Senior Site Manager.
The Project
This exciting scheme involves the construction of a modern SEND school, providing specialist teaching facilities, therapy spaces, sports and recreational areas, external landscaping, and associated infrastructure. The project is being delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and programme, requiring a strong site leader to oversee the day-to-day operations and support the successful delivery of the build.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage subcontractors, coordinate site logistics, monitor programme performance, and maintain excellent communication with the client and wider project team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
