Salary: Up to £70,000 + Package

The Opportunity
We’re working with an established and highly respected construction and fit-out contractor with over 30 years of industry experience. They deliver complex, technically demanding projects across the UK, working across specialist commercial and operational environments where quality, safety, and coordination are critical. They are now looking for an experienced Site Manager to join the team on a major project in Stansted. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being at the heart of project delivery, managing the site team, coordinating subcontractors, and making sure the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
The Role
As Site Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, working closely with the Project Manager, commercial team, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards across health and safety, quality, programme, and site coordination, while ensuring works are progressing efficiently and in line with project requirements.
You’ll be involved in:
- Managing the day-to-day site operations
- Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
- Planning and sequencing works to maintain programme
- Monitoring progress, quality, and workmanship
- Managing site logistics and coordinating multiple trades
- Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team
- Attending site meetings and coordinating with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Managing subcontractor performance and resolving issues on site
- Reviewing RAMS, permits, and site documentation
- Identifying and resolving programme, quality, and coordination issues
- Supporting the successful delivery of technically complex construction and fit-out works
- Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress

What We're Looking For:
We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager who has a strong background in commercial construction, fit-out, or technically demanding projects. Your background is likely to include:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction or fit-out projects
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination
- Experience working on projects with significant M&E / building services elements
- Experience delivering projects in complex or live operational environments
- Strong health and safety awareness
- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and construction information
- Good programme and planning knowledge
- Confident managing site teams and subcontractors
- Strong communication skills with clients, consultants, and project teams
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid
- Relevant construction qualifications are advantageous
