Senior Site Manager – Permanent
Location: Central East Scotland
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Type: Permanent
We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier 1 main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager on a permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Site Manager with a strong new-build Tier 1 background who is looking to take ownership of projects from the early stages right through to completion. We’re looking for someone who understands what it takes to get a project out of the ground, build momentum and drive it through to successful completion.
The Role
As Senior Site Manager, you’ll take a leading role in the delivery of projects from initial mobilisation and groundworks through to completion and handover. You’ll be responsible for coordinating the site team, subcontractors and wider supply chain, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, to programme and to the required quality standards.
This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who takes ownership and is confident leading a project through all stages of construction.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
