This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Sitecore Developer (Contract) based in United Kingdom.
As a Senior Sitecore Developer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality digital experiences through modern front-end technologies. You’ll lead development initiatives, translating technical and business requirements into intuitive, responsive, and high-performing web applications. Working closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll help shape solutions that combine strong engineering with thoughtful UX. You’ll champion modern development practices, testing, documentation, and performance optimization. The role also offers an opportunity to mentor junior and mid-level developers and influence technical standards across projects. You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where innovation, quality, and continuous learning are highly valued.
Accountabilities
- Lead the design and implementation of high-quality front-end solutions aligned with technical and business requirements.
- Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and team members to understand needs and deliver effective digital experiences.
- Develop clean, efficient, tested, and well-documented TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Build responsive, cross-browser-compatible applications optimized for both desktop and mobile experiences.
- Develop interactive prototypes to explore and validate innovative UI solutions.
- Drive the adoption of modern development standards, tools, frameworks, and engineering best practices.
- Ensure implementations consistently follow branding guidelines, UX standards, accessibility considerations, and performance best practices.
- Conduct browser testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to maintain high-quality applications.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and development standards.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, encouraging best practices, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
- Build trusted and productive relationships with clients, colleagues, stakeholders, and management.
- Act as a technical advisor, contributing expertise throughout the design, development, testing, and deployment lifecycle.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining delivery quality and meeting agreed deadlines.

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
- 3+ years of professional Sitecore development experience.
- Sitecore certification.
- Deep proficiency in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
- Extensive hands-on experience with React, including complex state management and scalable application architecture.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, and collaborative development practices.
- Proven ability to perform browser testing, debugging, and front-end performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of the complete web development lifecycle, from design and development through testing and deployment.
- Advanced knowledge of UI/UX principles, design patterns, responsive design, and modern front-end practices.
- Solid understanding of SEO best practices.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage several projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and accountable, with a consistent track record of meeting deadlines and commitments.
- Intermediate spoken English and fluent written English.
- Code samples are required; candidates should be prepared to provide one representative project or repository demonstrating relevant front-end and Sitecore experience.
- Experience with Next.js is a plus.
- Experience with additional front-end frameworks and content management systems (CMS) is advantageous.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
