Outbreach is looking for two Senior SOC Analysts
Outbreach is looking for two Senior SOC Analysts to join a client's security operations centre in the Barbican, London, starting as soon as possible. The engagement runs initially through March 2027. You will be working live cases from day one, so we need people who can hit the ground running as a senior SOC and incident response specialist.
This is an operational role. Day-to-day threat detection, triage and incident response come first; engineering and project implementation come second.
Shifts
- Four 10-hour shifts a week, 06:00 to 16:00 UK time, on-site.
- We need one analyst on each pattern:
- Sunday to Wednesday
- Wednesday to Saturday

What you will do
- Drive technical response actions against fast-moving, AI-driven threats, including developing and tuning alerts to identify anomalous or malicious activity in the client's infrastructure.
- Run full investigations and root-cause analysis, using AI-driven and agentic tooling alongside your own investigative judgement, to find, evict and recover from sophisticated threat actors.
- Work closely with the Hunt, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Digital Forensics, Legal and Infrastructure teams so operations stay coordinated.
- Turn chaotic incident signals into a clear path forward, protecting critical US operational infrastructure, customers, users and data.
- Contribute to detection engineering, threat hunting and proactive investigations as needed, with operational SOC support staying the primary focus.

Skills and experience
- Minimum 5 years cyber security experience is required for this role.
- Senior-level experience in an operational SOC or incident response team.
- Operational and incident response experience in at least two of: macOS endpoints, Linux in cloud environments, microservices and containers. All three preferred.
- Practical AI tooling experience, including building automation workflows and scripts that improve SOC triage and response.
- Splunk experience. The SOC runs on Splunk and is implementing 7AI.
