About This Role
Trafalgar Tickets is seeking a proactive Senior Social Media & Content Executive (Venues) to manage the day-to-day responsibility for the social media and content channels for Trafalgar Theatres, through the support of the Venue Content Executives. The role holder will help lead the delivery of engaging, on-brand content across our primary theatre venues. This role is ideal for someone with strong digital and social media experience who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment and is looking to develop their management and leadership skills.
The main responsibilities of the Senior Social Media & Content Executive (Venues) will be:
- Own and lead social media and content output for a number of shows & events at any one time, across our network of UK theatres. Working closely with our Campaigns and Venue teams to tap into the key selling points of the product, and then creating insight-led output which engages audiences and encourages sales.
- Creation of unique assets (visual and video) that resonate with audiences and bring the product and venue to life, driving impressions, interactions and clicks.
- Chair and own ideation and brainstorming sessions, consistently identifying unique ways that we can promote our content, keeping it fresh and relevant.
- Create content plans that cover all aspects of a show’s lifecycle from announcement to final performance.
- Ownership of content plans for several Pantomimes, ideating and delivering creative content that resonates with audiences and taps into the joy and celebration of the content.
- Support campaign activity during periods such as Black Friday by leading the creation of bespoke content plans that drive maximum success and have a demonstrable impact on sales and revenue through owned channels.
- Develop organic content in line with the strategy for UK theatres and ticket agent brands, which will be across various channels, including social media and self-hosted content.
- Working with the Deputy Social Media & Content Manager, own the execution of allocated work from the content calendar to deliver effective and data-driven organic content to support our brands, products and producing partners.
- Analyse social performance data to shape content creation and ideas, with clear recommendations.
- Brief Social Media posts to Content Executives and review output to ensure output is of a high standard and in line with brand guidelines and our own social media best practices.
- Collaborating with third-party agencies/partners in the delivery of the team’s objectives.
- Liaising with wider marketing teams to produce relevant, compelling & engaging content.
- Visit allocated venues for all panto events throughout the year and other key venue moments to direct and capture content.
- Always acting in accordance with Trafalgar Entertainment’s values and ethics.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required.

About You

- At least 12-18 months' experience creating brilliant content across social media platforms, with a focus on Meta including Facebook and Instagram.
- You will have an excellent level of creativity and demonstrable experience in creating engaging and exciting social assets.
- You have excellent copywriting skills (short and long form) and written English.
- You have meticulous attention to detail, with an overall passion for continual improvement.
- You are proficient with design and any relevant design software.
- You have experience in creating and editing short-form video content for various channels.
- You will have great time-management, juggling multiple tasks and projects at any one time, ensuring they are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
- Experience working collaboratively within a team and across multiple departments.
- You have a fundamental understanding of managing social media channels and content optimisation strategies.
