Senior Social Media & Content Manager (iGaming)
Manchester-based agency | 2 days Sowerby Bridge office | 3 days WFH
We’re Socialtrend, a specialist social media agency working with some of the biggest brands in iGaming, sports and online entertainment.
We’re hiring a Senior Social Media & Content Manager to take ownership of social output across major global gaming brands and campaigns.
This is not a typical social media role.
You’ll be trusted to lead social channels, shape content direction and make decisions about what brands should be talking about and how they should show up online.
A lot of what we do sits around poker, football, major sporting events and internet culture. That means reacting quickly, spotting opportunities and turning live moments into content that people actually want to engage with.
You’ll still be hands-on with content, but at senior level we expect you to bring ideas, judgement and ownership rather than simply working through a content calendar.
If you’re looking for a slow-paced, brand-safe social role, this isn’t it.
What you’ll be doing
- Taking ownership of social media output across multiple major iGaming accounts
- Leading content planning and helping shape the social strategy and voice for each brand
- Creating and directing content including memes, reels, statics and reactive content
- Identifying trends, conversations and live moments across sport, poker and internet culture
- Turning those opportunities into relevant content quickly
- Overseeing community management, including comments, DMs and proactive engagement
- Planning and managing content calendars while leaving room for reactive opportunities
- Developing campaign and promotional ideas for clients
- Reviewing performance and using what works to improve future content
- Working closely with Account Managers, designers and the wider content team
- Helping maintain a consistently high standard of work across accounts
- Supporting and guiding more junior members of the social and content team

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
