About gee
gee is a premium hair extension brand trusted by iconic women around the world, including Anne Hathaway, Rebel Wilson and Eva Longoria. We've recently won three major industry awards, including a Marie Claire Hair Award.
Our mission is to help women feel like the most confident version of themselves. Every product we create and every piece of content we produce is designed to inspire that confidence.
We're a founder-led brand with ambitious plans for growth, and we're looking for a talented Senior Social Media Executive to join our team.
The Role
We're looking for an exceptionally organised and creative Senior Social Media Executive to take ownership of gee's day-to-day social content.
You'll manage our content calendar, organise what goes out and when, schedule content, write captions, create Stories and carousels, and make sure every piece of content is ready on time.
You'll also be closely involved in planning and organising content shoots, developing shoot plans and making sure we capture everything needed across social, website and wider marketing.
You'll work closely with our creative team, helping direct content on shoot days and capturing additional social-first iPhone content alongside our professional photography and video.
Our overall creative direction is set by our Founder, but you'll need a strong social and visual eye to add ideas, spot content opportunities and translate campaigns into social-first content.
What You'll Do
- Own and organise the social content calendar.
- Plan, schedule and publish content across all social platforms.
- Always know what's ready, being edited, awaiting approval or missing.
- Write captions and maintain gee's tone of voice.
- Create premium Stories and carousels in Canva.
- Adapt content appropriately for Instagram, TikTok and other platforms.
- Help plan and organise content shoots, including shoot plans, references and social-first shot lists.
- Be hands-on during shoots, helping direct content and ensuring everything we need is captured.
- Capture additional iPhone photo and video content on shoot days.
- Select the strongest images and video clips and brief the creative team on edits or additional content needed.
- Organise content for use across social, website, email and blogs.
- Carry out basic short-form video editing and confidently select and cut raw footage.
- Monitor social performance and use insights to inform what we create and post next.
- Keep up with fashion, beauty, luxury and social trends.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A Message from Hana, Founder & Creative Director
"Content has played a huge part in building gee into the brand it is today, and I'm looking for someone who can genuinely take ownership of it. I want someone who's both organised and creative — someone who becomes the person who knows our content inside out: what's going out, what's being edited, what's missing, what we need from our next shoot and what's performing. You'll work closely with me on the overall creative direction, but I'll trust you to take that direction and make sure it actually comes to life across our social channels. I'm looking for someone proactive, with great taste and a genuine instinct for social, who can keep everything moving without needing to be chased."
Salary
£30,000–£38,000 DOE, depending on experience and ability to independently organise, manage and deliver a busy social content calendar.
