Soho, London

Hybrid working: 2 days per week in the office

(Rota includes working evenings and weekends to attend matches, events, shoots, sponsor activations and key sporting moments where required to support content creation and social coverage.)

The Role

The Senior Social Media Executive plays a key role in creating content and helping to shape and deliver LiveScore Group’s social media strategy. The role requires strong editorial judgement, excellent football knowledge and the ability to create engaging social content across a range of formats. Working closely with and supporting the Social Media Lead, the role acts as a senior member of the team, contributing to daily content planning and creation, wider content strategy and the continued growth and performance of LiveScore’s social channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help develop and execute LiveScore Group’s content-led social media strategy, working closely with the Social Media Lead on strategic planning and key projects.
  • Use strong editorial judgement and football knowledge to help shape daily content priorities and maintain forward-looking content calendars across Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
  • Identify key football stories, trends and moments that can be turned into timely, engaging and highly shareable social content.
  • Create high-quality social content using Photoshop templates, with the ability to adapt existing templates and create new ones when required.
  • Drive audience growth, engagement, and product interaction through innovative content tailored to individual social platforms and markets.
  • Analyse performance across video and editorial content, regularly reporting against KPIs and OKRs and turning insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Stay up to date with emerging social platforms, formats and technologies, identifying opportunities to improve content performance and audience growth.
  • Work with content agencies and internal teams, including Sponsorship, Commercial and Acquisition Marketing, to develop and execute campaigns and creative social content.
  • Act as a senior point of contact within the social team, providing editorial guidance and support to other team members.
  • Attend matches and events for content capture where required, including conducting interviews, filming and presenting to camera.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong understanding of social media strategy, content planning and publishing across Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
  • Excellent football knowledge and strong editorial judgement, with an instinct for the stories and moments that will resonate with football fans.
  • Proven analytical skills, with the ability to measure content performance, track KPIs/OKRs and turn data into actionable insights.
  • Understanding of platform-specific content formats, algorithms and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, with the ability to independently create high-quality social content as well as adapt and develop existing templates.
  • Comfortable capturing high-quality social-first content using a smartphone, including basic filming, photography and interview capture.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging and original social content ideas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work effectively across teams and external partners.
  • Able to work quickly, prioritise effectively and make strong editorial decisions in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
  • Proactive and collaborative, comfortable providing guidance and support to the wider social team while identifying new content opportunities.
  • Desirable but not essential: Experience in long video content and YouTube, with an understanding of audience growth, content strategy and what drives performance on the platform.
