IMA is a creative agency with a simple purpose: to create connections people buy into, emotionally and literally. Through everything from advertising and media to packaging and retail activations, we deliver work that earns attention, builds relationships, and gives people a reason to choose your brand in the moments that matter.
We are looking for a passionate, strategically minded Senior Social Media Manager to join our dynamic team. If you are curious, organised and motivated by creating social content that connects with people and delivers results, this is an opportunity to make an impact in a collaborative, fast-paced agency environment.
The Role
As a Senior Social Media Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of social media strategies and campaigns for leading brands. Working closely with clients, account teams, strategists, creatives, designers, producers and external partners, you will turn business and marketing objectives into engaging, effective social-first work that is delivered on time and to a high standard.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Social Strategy: Develop clear, insight-led social media strategies that support client objectives, brand positioning and campaign goals.
- Content Planning: Create and manage social media calendars, content pillars and channel plans across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Creative Development: Write and edit engaging social copy, develop creative concepts and provide clear direction for designers, creators, editors and production teams.
- Campaign Delivery: Lead social campaigns from initial brief and planning through to production, approval, publishing and optimisation.
- Community and Engagement: Support social listening, community management and audience engagement, ensuring responses are timely, appropriate and aligned with brand tone of voice.
- Performance and Reporting: Monitor social media performance, analyse results and turn data into clear insights, recommendations and actions for ongoing improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
