About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Social Sustainability Advisor to lead the delivery and continual improvement of our social value and social sustainability strategy across the UK business. This role can be based from any of our UK offices.
In this high-impact role, you'll be the driving force behind embedding social value into our bids, projects and business operations, ensuring we not only meet customer commitments but exceed expectations. Acting as our social value expert, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to influence decision-making, shape strategy and deliver initiatives that create genuine, measurable benefits for communities and stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Sustainability Team in our Central Function and play a leading role in helping Siemens Mobility achieve its wider sustainability ambitions while supporting business growth, strengthening customer relationships and delivering lasting social impact.
You’ll make a difference by…
- Leading the continuous development of Siemens Mobility's Social Value Framework, aligning business priorities with customer and community needs.
- Providing governance across the social value delivery lifecycle, from bid through to contract delivery, ensuring compliance, assurance and effective risk management.
- Measuring, reporting and communicating Siemens Mobility's social value impact through internal reporting, customer engagement and external communications.
- Supporting the development of compelling and deliverable social value responses that strengthen tender submissions and support successful outcomes.
- Providing guidance, assurance and continuous improvement support to business units delivering contractual social value commitments.
- Owning social value reporting processes, ensuring accurate, timely and consistent data management at both organisational and contract level.
- Building and maintaining strategic relationships while representing Siemens Mobility across customer, community and industry social value networks.
- Supporting the development and day-to-day supervision of the Sustainability Intern, helping to deliver social value and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
- Managing CSR programmes, charity partnerships and volunteering activities that contribute to strategic social value objectives.
- Monitoring industry developments, emerging trends and best practice to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Designing and delivering engaging training and awareness sessions to build social value capability across the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
