Liquid Personnel is recruiting Senior Social Worker to join its client at Croydon
This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term safeguarding team, working with children and families to deliver positive outcomes through effective assessment, intervention, and care planning. You'll manage a varied and rewarding caseload, working with children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection plans, undertaking Section 47 enquiries, and progressing care proceedings where required.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Managing a complex caseload of children and families within a long-term safeguarding team.
- Working with children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection plans.
- Undertaking Section 47 investigations and risk assessments.
- Progressing care proceedings and preparing court reports.
- Completing high-quality assessments, reports, and care plans.
- Building effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies.
- Providing guidance and support on complex cases within the team.
- Delivering purposeful interventions that promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes for children and young people.

Additional Information:
- Rate: £39.04 per hour
- Contract: Initial 3 months with potential extension
- Hours: 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm)
- Caseload: 18-23 cases
- Working Pattern: Hybrid working available
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Social Work England registration.
- Degree level qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Post-qualified experience within Children's Services.
- Experience managing complex safeguarding caseloads.
- Strong assessment, analytical, and court report writing skills.
- Ability to travel for home visits across the borough and occasionally out of area.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
