Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Senior Social Worker
Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Senior Social Worker to join its client's Fostering Recruitment & Assessment Team at Stockton-on-Tees. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist fostering service focused on recruiting, assessing, and supporting foster carers to provide safe and stable homes for children and young people.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in undertaking fostering assessments, with a particular focus on kinship foster carers, special guardianship assessments, and the development of robust support plans. You will work closely with children, families, carers, and partner agencies to deliver high-quality assessments and positive outcomes for children.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Undertake comprehensive fostering assessments, including kinship foster carer assessments.
- Complete Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessments and associated reports.
- Develop robust and effective support plans tailored to the needs of children and carers.
- Prepare high-quality assessments and reports for fostering panels and court proceedings where required.
- Work collaboratively with foster carers, family members, and partner agencies.
- Ensure all assessments and recordings are completed accurately and within statutory timescales.
- Contribute to the recruitment, assessment, and retention of foster carers within the service.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Social Work England registration.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Social Care.
- Experience undertaking fostering assessments, particularly kinship foster carer assessments.
- Experience completing Special Guardianship assessments and support plans.
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
