Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Senior Social Worker
Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our client's Adult Social Care Locality Team based in Herefordshire.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with adults who have a wide range of care and support needs, including older people, young adults, individuals with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and other complex circumstances.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will manage a varied and complex caseload, delivering strengths-based interventions that promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes. Working within a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment, you will play a key role in undertaking assessments, safeguarding enquiries, care planning, Court of Protection work, and Community DoLS responsibilities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing a complex caseload of adults with diverse care and support needs.
- Completing Care Act 2014 assessments, reviews, and reassessments.
- Developing and reviewing person-centred Care and Support Plans.
- Undertaking safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments to protect vulnerable adults.
- Completing Mental Capacity Assessments and supporting Best Interest decisions.
- Carrying out Community DoLS work and contributing to Court of Protection applications.
- Managing personal budgets and ensuring effective use of resources.
- Supporting hospital discharges, community transitions, and ongoing care coordination.
- Working closely with health colleagues, families, carers, and partner agencies.
- Maintaining accurate records, reports, and case documentation.

What We're Looking For
- Social Work qualification (BA, MA, BSc, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualified experience within Adult Social Care.
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Adult Safeguarding, Court of Protection, and Community DoLS.
- Experience working with complex adult cases across a range of service user groups.
- Excellent assessment, analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
