📍London, Hybrid | 💰 Excellent Salary + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits
đź“… Permanent Role

We're partnering with a global financial services organisation that's investing heavily in the modernisation of its technology estate. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of business-critical trading platforms while continuing to work with modern technologies and engineering teams.

You'll influence technology strategy, define architectural standards and deliver scalable, resilient solutions across front, middle and back-office systems within a highly regulated environment.

The Role

Working closely with engineering teams, product owners and senior stakeholders, you will combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership and make a lasting impact across a global technology platform.

As the Senior Software Architect, you will:

  • Define and evolve the architecture for enterprise trading platforms
  • Design scalable, cloud-native solutions using modern architectural patterns
  • Drive the adoption of event-driven architecture, microservices and DevSecOps
  • Lead the modernisation of integration frameworks and APIs
  • Produce architecture documentation and technical roadmaps
  • Mentor developers and champion engineering best practice
  • Ensure solutions meet operational resilience, security and regulatory requirements
  • Help shape the organisation's approach to AI adoption within software engineering

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
