About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer (.Net) to join our dynamic team in Bridgend, working on a hybrid basis. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing a cutting-edge digital platform that will serve as the backbone for enterprise integration services. Your expertise will help shape a new digital function from the ground up, primarily focusing on building a robust, event-driven API and microservices platform on the Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. As a senior member of the team, you will not only be responsible for coding but also for leading the technical vision, mentoring junior developers, and establishing best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence digital transformation initiatives and contribute to innovative solutions that make a tangible impact on the organization’s operations and services.

Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Advanced proficiency in.NET and C# programming languages.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and related Azure technologies such as Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Event Grid.
- Strong background in developing APIs and microservices utilizing Azure tools like Azure Functions, API Management, and Web Apps.
- Knowledge of Azure data services including SQL, Storage, Data Lake, and Cosmos DB.
- Demonstrated leadership in guiding development teams and mentoring junior staff.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Experience working within agile development environments and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a scalable, secure, and efficient event-driven API and microservices platform on Microsoft Azure.
- Integrate various third-party systems securely, ensuring reliable data flow and system interoperability.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to facilitate smooth deployment, continuous integration, and operational stability.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance protocols throughout the development lifecycle.
- Present proof-of-concept solutions and provide technical guidance to influence project decisions.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the organization’s broader digital and technological strategies, aligning development efforts with business objectives.
