The Role
- Design, develop, and enhance secure, high-performing backend applications in a modern cloud environment.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver resilient solutions for critical public services.
- Influence technical direction and contribute to engineering excellence through modern development practices.
- Take ownership of technical challenges from design through to deployment and operational support.
- Support production environments and mentor colleagues to promote high-quality engineering standards.
- Champion and enhance engineering standards, continuous improvement, and DevOps practices.

What You'll Need
- Strong commercial experience developing applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Experience integrating with Identity and Access Management (IDAM) platforms.
- Proven experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Git version control and collaborative development practices.
- Experience working independently within Agile delivery teams.
- Proficiency using Jira and Confluence for work management and documentation.
