Job Title
Working as part of the Software Development team, the post holder will be a specialist in web application front end development, with experience of developing and implementing technical software solutions to meet business requirements and support the organisation in the achievement of its strategic objectives. The software development team develops bespoke applications to support EEC where no ‘off the shelf’ solutions exist.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure that projects produce the required deliverables within the defined quality, time and cost constraints and facilitate full realisation of benefits defined in the associated business cases which they may help develop. This will be achieved by adherence to relevant software development methodology and best practice within the profession.
- Establish productive working relationships with colleagues within the organisation at all levels to facilitate the successful delivery of software solutions.
- Provide support for changes and development for the suite of applications delivered by the development team as and when appropriate.
Requirements
- Expertise and a proven track record in frontend application architecture and programming.
- Create cross-browser compatibility, visually appealing and responsive web pages adhering to NHS design guidelines.
- Deep understanding of web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Excellent knowledge of responsive web design principles and web accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.2.
- Ability to debug, troubleshoot and fix front-end web issues.
- Proven experience of frontend JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue JS or Angular.
- Proven experience using Visual Studio to write software code and produce elegant, robust and maintainable software applications.
- Proven ability to understand and write C#, ASP.NET and Razor.
