Senior Developer – Automotive Intelligence Platform

About the Role

Pinewood.AI is seeking experienced, hands-on Senior Developers to join our software development teams based in Solihull. You’ll work closely with Lead Developers, Engineering colleagues, Product, testers, and teams across the business to support the delivery and ongoing development of our Automotive Intelligence Platform.

As a senior team member, you’ll contribute to designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions for our enterprise-scale SaaS product—used globally by automotive retailers and OEMs.

This role is ideal for strong, hands-on developers who enjoy:

  • Building new product features
  • Developing integrations with third-party systems
  • Working through the full software development lifecycle
  • Supporting high engineering standards in a collaborative team environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-level software solutions using:
    • C#, .NET / .NET Core
    • Razor, Web API
    • SQL Server, HTML, and JavaScript
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, testers, UI/UX specialists, and Engineering colleagues to deliver:
    • New functionality
    • Improvements
    • Third-party system integrations
  • Maintain hands-on involvement in:
    • Coding
    • Solution design
    • Development across the full .NET stack
  • Develop and maintain third-party platform integrations via:
    • REST APIs
    • Other integration methods
  • Contribute to:
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Development tooling
    • Engineering best practices
  • Participate in technical discussions and propose improvements for:
    • Product enhancement
    • Delivery efficiency
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges, including:
    • Integration issues
    • Data consistency problems
    • Performance optimisations
  • Foster knowledge sharing and code quality through:
    • Peer reviews
    • Collaborative engineering
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-standard culture focused on:
    • Clean, efficient code
    • Practical, high-quality delivery

Requirements

Experience & Technical Skills

  • Proven Senior Developer experience in a SaaS or enterprise software environment
  • Strong hands-on expertise in:
    • C#
    • .NET / .NET Core
    • SQL / T-SQL
    • Database design
    • Performance optimisation & query tuning
  • Experience with:
    • Front-end development (HTML, JavaScript, Razor)
    • Third-party integrations (REST APIs)
  • Familiarity with:
    • Azure Cloud Services
    • Azure DevOps (or equivalent CI/CD tooling)
    • Visual Studio or VS Code
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Agile delivery methods
    • Full software development lifecycle (concept to production support)
    • Clean code principles
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions
  • Preferable:
    • Experience in enterprise SaaS products
    • Background in complex, high-availability platforms
