Senior Software Developer -.NET/C#, Microsoft Stack
A leading technology-driven organisation within the Specialty Insurance sector is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join a high-performing engineering team. This is an opportunity to work on business-critical digital platforms, modern cloud-based solutions, and innovative technology initiatives that directly support a rapidly growing international business. The role involves designing, developing, and enhancing bespoke applications that support core operational and customer-facing services.
This is a business critical role, supporting the modernisation of systems and ensuring the continued growth of the organisation.
Role:
- Play a key role throughout the full software development lifecycle, partnering with engineers, product specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
- Design, build, and enhance enterprise-grade web applications and services.
- Develop scalable solutions across a modern Microsoft technology stack.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
- Support the evolution and optimisation of existing business-critical platforms.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality software solutions.
- Drive improvements in testing, automation, deployment, and development processes.
- Review application security and API design to ensure alignment with established standards.
- Mentor and support other developers, helping to elevate engineering capability across the team.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation where appropriate.

Skills & Experience:
- C# /.NET Framework and.NET Core
- ASP.NET and Web API development
- SQL Server and relational database design
- RESTful API development
- Angular or modern front-end frameworks
- Entity Framework, Dapper or similar ORM technologies
- Cloud-native development practices
- Agile delivery methodologies
- Test-Driven Development (TDD) and modern software engineering principles
- Microservices and distributed architectures
