Senior Software Development Business Analyst
Hybrid | Handforth Support Office | Permanent
Are you an experienced Business Analyst who thrives in agile software development environments? Do you enjoy turning complex problems into clear, actionable solutions while helping teams deliver great outcomes for customers and colleagues?
We're looking for a Senior Software Development Business Analyst to join our Engineering team and play a key role in shaping and delivering digital solutions across our omnichannel Pet Care Platform.
What you'll be doing
- Leading business analysis activities from discovery through to delivery
- Managing a team of Software BA
- Working closely with Product Owners, Developers, Testers, UX/UI teams, and stakeholders
- Translating complex business requirements into user stories and actionable deliverables
- Supporting backlog prioritisation and agile delivery across multiple squads
- Identifying opportunities for improvement, innovation, and business value
- Coaching and mentoring Business Analysts, championing best practice across the team
- Helping shape and strengthen our overall Business Analysis capability

About you
You'll bring:
- Significant Business Analysis experience, including time in a senior-level role
- Experience working within agile software delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to work confidently with both technical and non-technical teams
- Experience managing complex requirements and multiple workstreams
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for coaching and continuous improvement
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to have
- Business Analysis certifications
- Agile certifications
- Experience within retail, ecommerce, or omnichannel environments
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Avion, or Figma
- Knowledge of CI/CD software development practices
