Elekta is recruiting for the role of Senior Software Development Engineer
Senior Software Development Engineer role developing workflow, delivery and imaging software for medical devices in a safety-critical environment. The work includes full stack development, testing, CI/CD improvement and collaboration in agile teams.

What you’ll do
- Define, design, develop and maintain application components, services and APIs on the platform.
- Carry out full stack development across web and desktop UI, messaging and storage solutions.
- Maintain software quality metrics through walkthroughs and attention to detail.
- Create, review and maintain tests at unit, component and system levels.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and test automation environments.
- Work in a scrum team and help others where priorities or impediments require it.
- Take part in safety analysis and raise safety issues.
- Define and review requirements and provide input into architectural definition.

What they’re looking for
- Have a degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Have full stack development experience using the.NET platform, including C# and .NET Core.
- Have front end experience with Angular.
- Understand object oriented design.
- Understand software engineering disciplines, practices and techniques.
- Have experience of CI/CD and Agile, including SAFe methodologies.
- Have previous experience of medical devices or another regulated, safety-critical area.
- Have experience with microservices, REST APIs, SQL, Rabbit MQ, Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, Azure DevOps, domain driven design, asynchronous programming and event driven systems using message queues.
