Location: Sheffield (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months
Rate: £300 per day
IR35: Inside IR35
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join a collaborative and innovative engineering team responsible for delivering modern web applications used across the construction industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a large-scale React platform, contributing to new feature development, technical enhancements, performance improvements, codebase modernisation, and framework upgrades. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality software while helping shape the future direction of the product.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on engineer with strong React expertise, a passion for clean code, and experience working within complex enterprise environments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining high-quality web applications using React and TypeScript
- Delivering new features and functionality across an established product suite
- Improving performance, scalability, and user experience
- Refactoring existing code and supporting application modernisation initiatives
- Contributing to framework, library, and dependency upgrades
- Building reusable, maintainable, and well-tested components
- Integrating frontend applications with backend APIs and services
- Investigating and resolving complex technical issues
- Participating in code reviews and promoting engineering best practices
- Collaborating closely with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams
- Supporting continuous improvement across development processes and tooling

Skills & Experience Required
- Strong commercial experience building web applications with React and TypeScript
- Excellent knowledge of JavaScript
